This week, Team 4909 has continued to make strong progress on our build season goals, pushing forward across mechanical design, software development, and team operations. As we refine our robot and prepare for upcoming events, each subteam has stepped up to contribute toward our shared success

Mechanical:

This week, our mechanical team focused on advancing the robot's design and fabrication. We completed Version 2 of the robot, thoroughly troubleshooting its components and system to identify areas for improvement. Based on those findings, we started CAD work for Version 3, laying out updated designs that address performance and reliability. With the CAD work underway, we also began building elements of the V3 robot, turning our designs into physical parts ready for later integration and testing.

Software:

Our software team made progress on key control systems this week. A major milestone was the development of turret code, which enhances targeting and aiming performance for the robot. As with all complex systems, we ran into challenges throughout the process, so the team spent time troubleshooting issues as they arose to improve stability and ensure smooth operation during future testing.

Operations:

On the operations side, we've been busy capturing and sharing our progress with the community. This week, our team focused on media production, collecting photos and videos to document build season developments for our social platforms and sponsors. In addition to this, we have started logistics for our upcoming competition, the Minuteman District event, which will take place March 7-8th at BMHS. We are actively improving our videography skills to create a robot reveal video that we will share with our sponsors. Finally, we're organizing outreach logistics to share what Team 4909 is doing and inspire youth in the community.
With each passing week, our team grows stronger and more aligned with our goals for the season. from mechanical improvements and software breakthroughs to showcasing our work through media and event preparations, Team 4909 is building momentum and demonstrating what we can accomplish together. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue toward competition!
