The 2015 season's game was FIRST Recycle Rush. Unlike many of the games in years past, the focus was on individual teams, with not much interaction with the other team. The premise of the game is to move grey totes from the field and the human player station and stack them onto the white scoring platform and place a barrel on top to score points.

As it was our second year, still wanted to focus on something minimal complicated. We chose a strategy to make stacks from the human player station, as it seemed to be much easier and more efficient (time wise) to create stacks, while also having the capability to grab barrels and cap stacks with them.

![]() After much deliberation, we decided on a forklift-type robot with a mecanum drive. The mecanum drive allowed the robot to move in any direction without turning, while our single pneumatically-powered arm was able to squeeze the sides of the tote and move up and down a pulley-powered elevator to stack totes on top of one another, and cap the stack with a barrel. The result was Kevin.
